COLLEGE INITIATIVE
The NSBE DFW College Initiative Program aims to establish strong relationships between the chapter, which consists of STEM professionals, and Dallas-Fort Worth colleges and universities. Through this program, NSBE DFW supports local NSBE student chapters by providing student members with professional development, mentorship, financial aid and community service opportunities. We need leaders to be the voice of these students. There are several capacities in which our professional members can make an impact. COLLEGE TO CAREERS (C2C)
College To Careers (C2C) is a one-day conference held each Spring, aimed at equipping college juniors and seniors with the knowledge and tools needed to successfully transition into STEM careers. NSBE DFW proudly hosts this program in concert with The Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers DFW Chapter (SHPE DFW). C2C provides students with an array of professional development activities such as professional development workshops, mock interviews, resume critique, career enablement talks from keynote speakers, panel discussions. Scholarships are also awarded to select student attendees.
