Our mission is to increase the number of culturally responsible black engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally, and positively impact the community. Today, NSBE is comprised of over 30,000 pre-college, collegiate, and alumni members divided into six regions, all of which are governed by a national executive board.

The Dallas Metroplex Alumni Extension Chapter serves to enhance the national and regional initiatives of the organization. DMAE focuses its efforts on exposing pre-college students to engineering, promoting academic excellence among pre-college students, mentoring local collegiate chapters of NSBE, and supporting professional development of its members.
